In the Eye Study series, I focus on one of the most powerful elements of human expression: the gaze. Each painting isolates the eye as a subject, removing distraction and inviting the viewer into a moment of quiet intensity.
Working in a small 6 × 6 inch and 8 x 8 inch format allows for intimacy. These are miniature original paintings, but their scale does not limit their presence. Instead, the compact size encourages closeness. The viewer must approach, lean in, and engage with the subtle variations of light, colour, and brushwork.
Each piece in the Eye Study collection is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas and presented in a black frame. No reproductions are made. Once a painting leaves the studio, it will not be recreated.
